As it's the 10 year anniversary edition, being launched in the same place as when it was first published in 2016, the legendary Porters Bar, Cardiff

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary edition of his internationally bestselling book The Idiot Brain, Dr Dean Burnett, Cardiff neuroscience lecturer and occasional comedian, presents an evening of some of the more interesting and ridiculous experiences from a decade of trying to teach people about the brain on the global stage.

Featuring science, humour, music, and special guests, including good friend and fellow comic Dan Thomas, for a finale which presents an all-Welsh spin on the infamous ‘Hot Ones’ spicy sauce challenge.

Back in 2016, Dr Dean Burnett published his debut science book, The Idiot Brain. To mark the occasion, he hosted a panel of neuroscientist friends at the Royal Institution, all about the more quirky and baffling aspects of the brain. One decade, millions of sales, and dozens of different language editions later, The 10 year anniversary edition of the Idiot Brain is out now. To celebrate, Dean has grounded up the same friends yet again for another night of fun and lively discussion about our most baffling organ. Come join in, and learn about the more eccentric aspects of our grey matter.
